New Classes Posted

I just updated classes for July and August.  Easily enroll in either class using clicking the Paypal Add to Cart button on the class description page or by commenting below.

  • The first is a Facebook foundation
    class,
(Facebook 101). Yelling at your computer,
shaking your fist, cursing or holding your head in frustration is not going to help you navigate Facebook any better. You need some instruction. Whether you use Facebook now or want to create a new page for your business, sharing family memories, collection coupon offers or voicing your political views we will establish a firm foundation of understanding and familiarity in this small group 90 minute class.

  • ShadowBox Memories has been created to aid you in
preserving your memories in a shadowbox. From grandma's recipes to a special family vacation, your 2D and 3D ephemera will be on display in a beautiful format suitable for any room in your house or a special gift for a loved one.

Sharing the Studio Space

Kaitlyn, daughter number 1, stopped by on Friday to work on some wall art for her home. She is altering her and her boyfriend's initials to create an entire wall of nothing but letters. The project is moving along and she is about halfway finished with the altering process. I will update with other letters as she completes them and a picture of the wall when it's all finished.

The Distracted Artist

I am always laughing at myself because of my highly distracted nature. For those of you who have seen the movie Up, I am just like those cute dogs in the movie. You know, the ones that came to a complete halt and looked in the opposite direction every time someone said "squirrel". Yep that's me. The smallest of things can steer me off course. As is the case with this new set of coasters I'm working on. While speeding up the drying process after aging the paper, I caught myself holding the heat gun in an area for too long because I was too busy scanning the map for all the interesting names of cities and towns located throughout Florida to be worried about the possibility of FIRE. What I noticed though really was fascinating. This state is full of oddities

Luckily, I got back on task before I scorched  any of the small map pieces but not before noting some interesting places such as Shark Point, Zolfa Springs, Medart, Venus, and even Cleveland, which is not strange for Ohio but who knew it was also located in Florida.
